Our hearts go out to Queen Latifah, 48, as she is mourning the loss of her mother Rita Owens. After battling a chronic heart condition for many years, Rita died on Wednesday. “It is with a heavy heart that I share the news my mother, Rita Owens, passed away today. Anyone that has ever met her knows what a bright light while she was on this earth. She was gentle, but strong, sweet, but sassy, worldly but pragmatic, a woman of great faith and certainly the love of my life,” Queen said in a statement. Just a few days before her death, Latifah shared an Instagram video asking people to pray for her mother’s recovery. “Words can’t express on the gratitude that I feel for the love and well wishes from friends and family and all of you out there who just got love for the Queen! But, just know in the words of my brother Tupac, You are appreciated! Also please continue to send prayers up to my mom’s speedy recover! GOD CAN!!!”

Tecno camon 5.7 Lokosa has been in terrific form in the Nigeria Professional Football League scoring 18 goals in 20 matches – including a brace against Katsina United on Sunday. 26-year-old Nwankwo gets his maiden international call-up thanks to his fine form in the Italian topflight where he has scored six goals in his last seven outings. Spanish Centre-back Sergio Ramos set aside Real Madrid's rivalry with Barcelona to pay tribute to departing Barcelona star Andres Iniesta after his last Clasico in the Blaugrana Jersey. Iniesta captained Barcelona for the last time against Real Madrid in Sunday's contentious clash, the sides drawing 2-2 after Sergi Roberto was sent off late in the first half for hitting Marcelo. And while both teams had reasons for frustration at full-time, with a contentious call for penalty for the Madrid side, the skipper Ramos still found time to Applause opposite number Iniesta, an international team-mate with Spain.
